Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of our Telemetry Portal. You will work closely with cross-functional teams like Analytics & Mobile Engineers to understand their requirements, architect scalable solutions, and deliver high-quality code that meets performance and usability standards. Leveraging your expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products and driving innovation within the Grab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define user requirements and product specifications.
• Design and develop responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React & TypeScript.
• Architect and implement scalable back-end systems and APIs using server-side technologies such as Go & PostGres DB
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to extend the functionality of our applications, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards to ensure quality and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges and improve code quality.
• Implement automated tests and continuous integration pipelines to ensure the stability and performance of our applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive project delivery and team collaboration.
• Participate in OnCall rotation for our infrastructure & pipelines to make sure SLA are met.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for the adoption of new tools and practices to enhance our development process.

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, with a strong foundation in both front-end & back-end development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React & TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of server-side programming languages Go & CRUD operations.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the stack.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

The Nice-to-Haves

• Understanding of Big Data Systems, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto
• Understanding PySpark or Scala Spark
• Knowledge of Kafka & Streaming (Flink)
• Familiar with observability tools like Splunk, Kibana and/or DataDog
• Familiar with of AWS services,
• Familiar with Infrastructure as code frameworks like terraform.
