JOB SUMMARY 

Apptronik is a leader in humanoid robotics, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology to enhance human-robot interactions. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Fleet Management team in Austin, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on developing and optimizing a Fleet Management solution for Apptronik's humanoid robots, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency in various environments. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions for Fleet Management of humanoid robots. 
  • Develop client-side software on robots to enable real-time monitoring, tracking, and communication with the fleet management server.
  • Integrate sensor data and telemetry information to optimize fleet performance and operational efficiency.
  • Develop APIs and interfaces for seamless communication between Fleet Management software and robotic systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high quality and reliable software releases.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Fleet Management and robotics. 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++. 
  • Experience with developing IoT applications.
  • Familiarity with client-side caching and caching databases (Redis).  
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is a plus. 
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the field of robotics or Fleet Management systems.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices is desirable.
