Bridgeway is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment, collaborating with engineers as well as our professional services team.  This C++ Software Engineer will focus on maintaining several critical applications using C++ and other applications. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in a highly productive team-centric environment. The is a remote position with preference given to East Coast candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update major application sub systems using C++ and related technologies.
  • Assess requirements for software development projects.
  • Interact professionally with team members throughout the organization.
  • Provide support and research for existing and new software and investigate, recommend, and implement new technology and solutions.
  • Adhere to technical standards within the industry and within Bridgeway.
  • Participate in multiple concurrent projects, to include product enhancements, client customizations, third party integrations, and product maintenance.
  • Collaborate with our Engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to define and execute plans for standardization scaling and enhancements to our products and services utilized in deployment, installation, and release efforts.
  • Maintain SCRUM Methodology and documentation of user stories, features, and other release notes to best assist implementation application support teams.
  • Develop programming effort estimations based on requirements and scope of project and manage work progress against schedule commitments, utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO) for task management.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years professional software engineering experience in full C++, Object Oriented Methodologies, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with multi-threading and parallel programming
  • Experience with package managers (vcpkg or Conan preferred) and build managers (CMake and Ninja preferred)
  • Experience with SQL as well as databases like MongoDB with NoSQL
  • Experience with Python and Visual Studio Code preferred
  • Experience with Azure, DevOps - CI/CD, containerization preferred
  • Experience developing in a large-scale or multi-platform environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile Methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
