Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our platform team focusing on the development of software, based on artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML). This key role involves architecting scalable, efficient systems for model serving and inference, ensuring seamless deployment and management across diverse environments. You will have a background in software engineering, with an understanding of AI/ML technologies, and will be responsible for leading/contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of data-driven solutions to significant business challenges across a program of work. As an important contributor to our engineering team, you will help shape the future of our AI/ML capabilities, delivering solutions that inspire value for our organization. You will report to Manager. You will work from the Pune location.

The role is in the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division, focusing on technical problem solving with the latest in NLP and ML technology. This team defines and builds the software platform the Fusion 360 family of products is built upon.
Responsibilities

Develop scalable and efficient systems for serving AI/ML models, ensuring that these systems can handle varying loads and perform with low latency across diverse environments

Explore to generate datasets for model training and development for better and efficient prediction

Provide Technical Leader and mentorship for less experienced members of the team to deliver ley AI/ML powered features for our platform

Ensure that the AI/ML serving systems follow industry standards and regulatory requirements for data security and privacy, including the management of data encryption, access controls, and audit trails

Work closely with AI/ML researchers, data engineers, and other partners to translate complex AI/ML models into production-ready systems, providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Stay informed about the latest developments in AI/ML technologies, cloud computing, and software engineering practices, exploring, and integrating solutions that can enhance the capabilities and efficiency of the AI/ML serving platform

Translate business requirements and objectives into problems that can be solved with a combination of Data, Statistics, and Machine Learning
Minimum Qualifications
-
BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
-
5+ years of experience in software development and engineering, with a solid record of delivering production systems and services

Hands-on experience 3+ with AI/ML frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and familiarity with the lifecycle of AI/ML model development, from training to deployment

Proficiency in machine learning stack (e.g. Pandas, ..) and programming languages such as C++, Python

Knowledge of experimentation design and analysis of results
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Large Language Models, especially in the context of interactive dialog systems and chatbots (RAG, Generative AI, Conversational Agents)

Experience deploying systems that use NLP such as Information Retrieval (IR), Recommender Systems (RecSys), or other NLP Applications

SQL and experience with big data technology such as Hive, Presto, Glue, (Py)Spark, or Athena

Advanced software engineering skills including data structures and algorithms

Experience with data pipelines and model serving in AWS

Experience with MLOps, especially on AWS, at scale
