The Turbonomic Product Engineering team within IBM is looking for motivated engineers with the right skillset to work on our SaaS based microservices that provides automated actions to manage performance while being efficient.

Responsibilities


  • Responsibilities include developing new features within our container offering.
  • Work on addressing customer issues and drive them to completion in a timely manner.
  • Communication, organization, critical, analytical thinking, and research skills are critical in this role.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of full-cycle (Agile) software development – Analysis, design, feature execution, automation, support with Java, C++, Golang or other modern OOP languages.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and automated testing with some exposure to TDD & pair programming.
  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, design and implementation of distributed applications, specifically in Cloud-/ Hybrid-Cloud-computing and MVC applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Knowledge and experience in micro-service architecture.
  • Proven track record of delivering connected projects in the role of enterprise software development, consulting, or other solution delivery roles.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Cloud certifications: AWS, Azure, GCP; Kubernetes certification(s) OR Exposure to Cloud Computing, Virtualization, or related fields and a strong interest and desire to learn about them.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes or related cloud-native technologies
  • Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Travis.
  • Collaboration and SCM tool: familiarity with Git and GitHub or GitLab.
  • Experience with multiple cloud services, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google.
  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Experience working with 3rd-party integrations.
  • Experience working in a globally distributed team.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
