What is the opportunity?
Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing solutions and providing SME support for a home grown Core Banking application including both retail and wholesale systems, digital banking layer and 50+ interfaces within five business lines, Caribbean Retail, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, Capital Markets and Canadian FCA Banking. Partner with IT and business partners to lead discussions to assess, research, and analyze business, technical, and system needs to resolve business systems issues, providing technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. Provide support on critical activities and guide junior developers.
What Will You Do?

Designing and coding application programs; performing testing for developed applications.

Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.

Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.

Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Haves:
-
Proven hands-on experience with the development, deployment and support of software projects.

Development background with IBMi in COBOL, CL, QUERY400, QMQRY, SQL/400, other programming languages in IBMi/iSeries/AS400 platform

Demonstrated experience and applied knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

Strong analytical, problem solving skills
-
Planning, time management, documentation skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have:

Knowledge of Cloud technologies
-
Modern programming languages and frameworks like Java, Python, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Kafka
