In this critical role, you will work with engineering and business partners to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, innovation, and adoption of the right technologies to enhance product capabilities.

You will be working with a team is modernizing the Pricing platform across the entire business lines of Western Union and will be an enabler, influencer for the business strategy through its key deliverables. Key Responsibilities

  • Building and implementing top-notch user interfaces using JavaScript and the Angular framework and Java frameworks.
  • Writing efficient JavaScript code while also using HTML and CSS
  • Writing efficient APIs while also using Spring and Java.
  • Using the latest front-end and back-end technology, creating responsive interfaces and associated APIs.
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance with emerging technology standards.
  • Lead pricing solutioning end to end for new innovations with iterative improvements.
  • Collaborate with peers, engineers, contractors, and cross functional teams across the globe.
  • Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance, scalability, troubleshooting, and continuous development
  • Be a culture champion on the team, guide, and mentor junior members of the team and across the company. 

Role Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of professional experience or MS with 3+ years of experience. Equivalent work experience in place of a degree is acceptable.
  • Track records of successful software design and implementation
  • Ability to communicate and evangelize design concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals (like SOLID), data structures, algorithms, OOP, and best practices for data persistence/ data engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in contemporary design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience in Angular, SPA framework, Java/J2EE, Spring boot, Web technologies, Postgres SQL, Playwright framework, Kafka, AWS or other cloud providers
  • Experience with agile development methodologies with emphasis on Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.

Salary

The base salary range is $115,000 – 130,000 USD per year. Total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term (15% of base) incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
