About the Role:

As Evo’s Senior Social Media Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our social media strategy to elevate Evo's presence to be the leading voice in fighting game culture and fan engagement across all platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage day-to-day operations of the social media team, develop and maintain content strategies, and ensure successful promotional activities and partnerships. You will ensure Evo's brand remains dynamic, engaging, and aligned with our mission to celebrate and expand the fighting game community globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Social and Editorial Team Management: Oversee the social media and editorial team, delegating tasks, setting expectations, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content. Foster a collaborative, innovative environment that encourages creativity and professional growth within the team. Monitor workloads and adjust responsibilities to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communications and PR Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive communications social media strategy, establishing content guidelines, cadence, and engagement tactics that cater to both new and existing audiences. Balance promotional needs with authentic community interactions. Includes management of third-party public relations firms to cultivate a positive brand image and help manage crisis communication..
  • Brand Standards and Quality Control: Work with international social media teams to ensure consistency of voice, asset expectations, and community knowledge are showcased by Evo accounts
  • Content Monetization: Create and implement a cohesive social media monetization plan across selected channels; such as increasing revenue through ad partnerships, sponsorship content, or subscription models on social platforms.
  • Content Calendar and Channel Maintenance: Create and manage a content calendar that aligns with Evo's strategic goals, making regular posts and updates across all social channels and Evo’s website. Foster positive relationships with third-party brands, influencers, and the broader fighting game community.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Analyze content performance, track engagement metrics, and provide insights to optimize future content strategies. Keep leadership informed about social media trends and potential opportunities or challenges.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the esports, gaming, or entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects
  • Excellent communication and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt to different platforms and audiences
  • Capacity to experiment with emerging technologies, platforms, and tools
  • Familiarity with the fighting game community and passion for gaming is a plus
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools and project management software (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Analytics)
