What if, in your next adventure, you were surrounded by people who, like you, look for an unlimited playground to explore, share, and test, would you care to hear more? You've opened the right door! As an R&D team, making sure your ideas are heard and encouraged is what we strive to do!What You'll Do:
The Cloud team at Criteo is responsible for implementing secure, scalable cloud practices while optimising infrastructure and operations. The team ensures alignment with evolving security standards, focusing on efficiency, performance, cost management, and reliability across all cloud environments.
-
Help to design Criteo systems using cloud services, both proactively and on teams' requests
-
Answer complex cloud-related questions (using your own expertise, by experiments, relaying questions to the providers, etc)
-
Optimize our cloud usage. Reservations, commitments, instance types, regions, service usage details
-
Prototype and sometimes build cloud-based systems (build prototypes to convince other teams of the value, build for internal team needs - usage and cost analysis etc)
-
Take part in Infrastructure provider comparisons and selection decisions e.g. GCP vs. AWS vs. Azure vs. on-premises.
Who You Are:
-
Has a good knowledge of how cloud services work in general as well as practical hands-on experience with GCP or AWS.
-
Has strong prior experience with large complex infrastructures: Networks, operating systems, etc. Should be able to set-up and configure things, figure out why they’re not working, make them work.
-
Has good programming skills. Language is not that relevant (Python, Go, Java, etc. will do).
-
Demonstrates proficiency with modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate infrastructure provisioning.
-
Understands cloud cost management and optimisation strategies (FinOps), with experience in analysing cost structures and implementing cost-saving measures on public cloud platforms.
-
Can collaborate easily with internal peers as well as our cloud-provider account teams & product-teams when required - communicating verbally in English as well as with diagrams (pencil and napkin can do, fancy formal notations aren't required).
-
Can advocate for their projects, gain support from team members and management, and drive initiatives forward.
Despite everything written above, we do know that the "ideal candidate" doesn't exist.
But if you think you match a fair few of the points listed above then let's talk and see if we're a fit!
Take a look at our R&D blog on Medium for access and insight into our engineering culture and achievements.
We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
