The role
We are looking for an experienced senior security architect that has a broad knowledge of various IT infrastructure capabilities and services, coupled with a strong sense of security in large complex environments. As our new colleague, you will take on security operations tasks, deploy new features, and align with stakeholders across the business as we continue to expand our security toolset. You will be assigned to the Digital Workplace Security team, which is charged with operations of the Microsoft Defender suite of services, operating and developing DLP capabilities across Microsoft Purview & other tools, and email & collaboration security services. We have a large network of stakeholders across the business and other IT operations teams. Staying in contact with other teams, both local and in other parts of the world, will be a part of your daily routine.
Part of your responsibilities will be:

  • Developing Microsoft Defender strategies, architecture, and policies
  • Engage in decision making around policies and architecture
  • Ensuring operational efficiency in the tools within your team
  • Collaborating on architecture and policies around M365/O365, Conditional Access, Entra ID, DLP, email & collaboration, and more
  • Participating in incident response and investigations when necessary
  • Troubleshooting technical issues that may arise
  • Monitoring, analysis, and comprehension of reporting data


We want you to cooperate with team members and stakeholders, vendors on features and technical issues, and all other teams in GSO ensuring operational efficiency of the SOC.
Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor or master's degree in engineering, cyber security, or computer related fields
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in implementation and operations of security tools within M365 and related services
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender suite of services
  • Ability to architect Microsoft Defender policies according to business requirements while maintaining security posture of overall cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with IAM tools, such as Active Directory, Entra ID, etc.

You will be employed in Global Security Operations (GSO) located in Ballerup, DK, as part of the Technology & Service Operations team for Cloud Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Security.
