Role Definition

  • Assists in developing, testing and implementing Salesforce application systems.


Responsibilities

  • Participates in developing, coding and testing computer programs for multiple projects.
  • Participate in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.
  • Creates detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for simple application programs.
  • Contribute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.


Technical Skills Required:
Salesforce Core Expertise:

  • Proficient in Salesforce Loyalty Management Platform configuration, design, and customization.
  • Skilled in building and managing Salesforce Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud) sites, including theming, branding, and component development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud setup, journey orchestration, email studio, and campaign automation.
  • Strong expertise in the following clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud.
  • Experience defining technical solutions, gathering systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.


Salesforce Development:

  • Understanding of Salesforce declarative tools like Flow, Process Builder, and Validation Rules.
  • Proficient knowledge of Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs for integrations with external systems.


Architecture and Technical Design:

  • Expertise in designing scalable and robust Salesforce solutions.
  • Experience with architectural frameworks and methodologies.
  • Ability to create detailed technical design documents and system architecture diagrams.
  • Proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines and optimizing deployment strategies.


Marketing Expertise:

  • Strong grasp of customer engagement strategies through Marketing Cloud tools such as Automation Studio and Audience Builder.
  • Familiarity with cross-channel campaigns (email, SMS, social) and tracking performance using analytics.


Functional and Soft Skills:
Business Analysis and Stakeholder Management:

  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service departments.


Problem-Solving and Innovation:

  • Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex Salesforce platform issues.
  • Strong ability to recommend innovative solutions to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.


Project Management:

  • Experience working in agile environments with tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.


Training and Documentation:

  • Proficient in creating training materials and conducting workshops for end-users.
  • Skilled in documenting technical processes and configurations for long-term maintenance.


Certifications (Preferred):

  • Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant Certification.
  • Salesforce Application Architect.
  • Salesforce System Architect.
  • Salesforce PD 1.
  • Salesforce PD 2.


Core Skill Required:

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
  • Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).
  • System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
  • System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.
  • Systems Software Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems, database management systems, communications protocols, compilers and other development tools.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation.
  • Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.


This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring 3-day weekly office presence onsite at our Nashville Main office and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.

Summary Pay Range:
$92,880.00 - $160,788.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
