IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Senior Salesforce Developer in Westbrook, ME (telecommuting permitted in fully remote role) to design and offer recommendations for application development, integration, deployment, and ongoing enhancements for the Salesforce application for IDEXX’s global CRM solution implementation, along with providing technical expertise and direction to ensure that IDEXX’s use of the Salesforce app is optimized. The Senior Salesforce Developer monitors, troubleshoots, and fixes builds and manages releases to support multiple streams of development; gathers, analyzes, and documents functional and technical requirements; advises on best practices including integration and application development with existing systems and third-party providers, deployment, texting, and interactive refinement; helps design and implement data migration strategies; seeks out ways to utilize Salesforce to improve processes and productivity; participates in defect triaging and provides assistance with defect resolutions; and makes recommendations to support a company scaling at a rapid pace. The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment/DevOps scripts using tools and techniques such as git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ivy, Groovy, VS Code/IntelliJ, SFDX deployments, and metadata manipulation. The Senior Salesforce Developer is also responsible for working with the development team through mentoring and peer programming; working and communicating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Leadership; and working across IT teams (networking, middleware, other IT development teams, etc.)
The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in software development, including three years of experience in Salesforce development and build troubleshooting, fixing, and management; and at least some experience in: developing Apex Classes, Triggers, and Test Classes, Lightning Web Components (global and reusable), SOQL and SOSL queries, Web Services integrations, Javascript, and data loads; territory alignment, SAP integrations involving Order entry, Order history, Test Mix, and SediVue; work force management (work orders, work order line items, service appointments, creating bulk work orders, and supervisor and line notifications); and web security (including various authentication methods, iframes, and server and browser header settings).
