Leidos is seeking a motivated and self-starting Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect Team Lead as part of a web application development team. This position involves enhancing the current Salesforce platform that includes CRM, KM, and Public Portal leveraging out-of-the-box features and custom development. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in Salesforce implementation, configuration, and development and can bring a strategic and leadership-focused approach to the team.
The Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect Team Lead will be involved in the full development life-cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment and engage and facilitate discussions with other Salesforce experts.
The Senior Salesforce Developer / Architect Team Lead will be expected to work with internal and external project teams to gather requirements, and configure and extend the Salesforce application based on business needs with robust systems and testing documentation, within an agile environment. Successful candidates will be technical professionals, experienced in web application development. Candidates should have development experience with the Salesforce platform and be able to leverage the Salesforce-provided Application Programming Interface.

Project Leadership and Execution: Manage development activities across an agile team, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery. Oversee project planning, scoping, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment with business needs.

Technical Vision and Strategy: Define the technical vision for Salesforce solutions, continuously refining and aligning it with the organization’s evolving goals. Identify opportunities to enhance, automate, and optimize the platform for maximum efficiency and impact.

Salesforce Development and Implementation: Perform hands-on technical Salesforce development, focusing on functional and scalable solutions. Implement customized solutions on the Salesforce.com platform using best practices, including custom development, integration, and automation.

Configure Salesforce Components: Customize page layouts, flows, integrations, automation, and validation rules to meet business requirements. Ensure robust documentation and testing.

Quality Assurance and Code Review: Lead peer code reviews and ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and established development standards with implementations that include customer platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), and integrations of back office systems (often through the use of middle-ware tools including REST APIs and web services), and complex data migrations. Troubleshoot issues as they arise and support quality testing, including creating test scripts and training materials.

Risk Management and Documentation: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Document projects and facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure successful long-term client support.

Stay Current on Industry Trends: Continually assess and recommend improvements to the Salesforce environment by staying updated on Salesforce releases and industry best practices.

Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices, and perform peer code reviews. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components), integrations with back office systems (often through the use of middle-ware tools including REST APIs and web services), and complex data migrations

Salesforce Platform Developer I
Required Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems (MIS), management, or other related field with 8+ years of related experience; Master's degree with 6+ years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

4-6+ years experience managing IT projects and implementing Salesforce technical solutions in a contact center environment.
-
Expertise with multiple CRM contact center implementations and strong knowledge of CRM functionality and configuration capabilities.

Ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which includes a credit check and background investigation

Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, best practices, and programming languages (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component framework, Managed Packages).

Web application development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5

Lightning Component development experience
-
Lightning Design System framework
-
Declarative Force.com development tools such as Process Builder, Visual Workflow, Lightning App Builder, etc

Experience facilitating work sessions with business users to understand business processes and requirements.

Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to work east coast hours (9:00 am ET - 5:00 pm ET)
