Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Representative to join our dynamic commercial team at TriLink, a brand of Maravai LifeSciences. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the academic sector, government agencies, and emerging biotech companies in the New England territory. The position focuses on building and nurturing relationships with R&D professionals in academic institutions and smaller biotech firms, positioning our solutions as essential tools for advancing mRNA modalities.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, leveraging scientific expertise, sales acumen, and a consultative approach to identify new opportunities, expand market share, and deliver high-value solutions that meet the evolving needs of R&D professionals.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new customers, drive product adoption, and expand relationships with existing accounts.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor for the TriLink brand (part of Maravai), building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in research and development to align with their scientific objectives.
  • Product and Scientific Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our mRNA synthesis, enzymology, and reagent portfolio to effectively communicate product benefits and applications to customers.
  • Scientific & Value-Based Selling: Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to specific customer applications and research needs.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies and identify market opportunities.
  • Sales Tracking & Reporting: Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) to track sales activities, pipeline progression, and key performance metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and accurate forecasting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support teams to enhance market penetration and drive customer success.

 The skills and experience that you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the life sciences or academic research sectors. Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.) or professional sales certification is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in mRNA technologies, enzymology, and life sciences research methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of mRNA technologies, enzymatic processes, and advanced life sciences research methodologies, with the ability to apply them to customer solutions.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets through strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills, with a track record of closing complex deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with researchers and institutions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a proactive approach to sales.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite for data tracking, reporting, and customer management.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,860 - $120,750. In addition, highly competitive sales incentive plan participation, long-term incentives in the form of company equity and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
