Opportunity Overview

As a Sr. Sales Executive with a hunter’s mentality, you will be the driving force behind expanding our customer base through new logo acquisitions. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets through a focus on proactively identifying new business opportunities, pursuing leads with tenacity, and converting prospects into loyal clients. The position requires a unique set of skills, including a high level of computer proficiency, phone skills, and the ability to build rapport during prospect calls without the benefit of face-to-face interaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue new logo opportunities through various channels including cold calling, emailing, networking, market research, and sales campaigns
  • Identify and qualify potential clients through discovery and adept understanding of their needs, pain points, and technology decision-making processes, as it relates to what our solution can address
  • Manage the sales process from the top of the funnel to close, including prospecting, handling objections and sales negotiations as well as preparing sales proposals
  • Confidently negotiate contracts and secure new logos, while ensuring the best outcomes for both the client and the company
  • Prepare weekly accurate forecast data for your assigned territory/account list
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas which include revenue targets, number of accounts closed, and target number of firms in a desired market segment, and/or other metrics as communicated
  • Adhere to CRM best practices including capturing critical firm information, such as tax compliance system in use, the total number of tax returns prepared annually, and the current process for handling, etc.
  • Utilize tech stack effectively to uncover new potential, expand outreach, and track progress of goals and account coverage
  • Coach and mentor Sales Associates and Executives on sales skills and product and industry knowledge
  • Act as a leader within the Sales team, modeling expert-level skills and Sales team values to all team members
  • Exhibit business acumen, executive presence, and a high degree of professionalism in all interactions with customers and teammates
  • Demonstrate unwavering determination, attitude, and resilience in overcoming obstacles to achieve sales goals
  • Aptitude to learn and understand technological solutions to complex problems and to apply them in conversations with prospects

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in software solutions for businesses
  • High School Diploma required; College degree preferred
  • High level of motivation, self-discipline, and resilience to work independently as well as in a small team environment
  • Proven track record in sales with a demonstrated hunter mentality and a passion for achieving and exceeding targets
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Track record of success with inside sales and exceeding quota/goals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills to manage projects, respond to requests, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Exceptional communication, listening, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable examples of initiative and persistence, with a positive, energetic, and competitive attitude
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software preferred
  • Knowledge of the professional tax and accounting industry, a plus
  • Experience in SAAS/Technology sales preferred
