About the role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated NPI Planner to join our dynamic team. This position will support the end-to-end supply chain requirements, including reviewing the long-range obsolescence risks and promise dates to ensure smooth operations and minimize potential disruptions.
What You Will Do
- Represents supply chain and participate in all aspects of NPI/NPD process.
- Working with NPI/NPD team to ensure successful and on time NPI/NPD project completion.
- Analyze NPI/NPD plans to develop detail supply chain requirements.
- Constantly validate supply chain requirements are aligned with NPI/NPD project plans.
- Communicate supply chain requirements to supply chain and cross functional teams.
- Develop and track on time completion of all supply chain deliverables.
- Escalate risks and obstacles to supply chain, project, ands cross functional team leaders.
- Manage adverse financial impact in the area of inventory risk and exposure.
- Analyze manufacturing build plan against inventory and supply chain data to determine demand for material replenishment.
- Analyze bill of materials / pick list for raw material obsolescence, long lead time and NRND status.
- Create and present risk status of raw material to engineering & management
- Request purchase orders from buyers.
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive ahead of requirement date.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to ensure demand for materials is met.
- Review inventory levels for purchased parts in accordance with established policies and goals throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory by developing a recovery or disposition plan.
- Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
- Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule
- Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
- Escalate supply chain issues with suppliers to receive a satisfactory response. Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or business. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- APICS, Six Sigma, Lean, or Project Management preferred but not required.
- Prior electronics experience required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in NPI/NPD, sourcing, procurement, production scheduling and project management.
- Independent contributor with the ability to influence others.
- Prior ERP, BOM, routing, item master, NPI/NPD gates experience required.
This position requires on-site presence at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.
Our Good Faith Estimate of the salary range for this position is $100,000 - 134,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
