DRW is looking for an outstanding Engineer to lead the data build out for a mid-frequency systematic strategy. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, implementing and maintaining the data platform for a quantitative systematic trading group.

This is a highly visible role where you can make significant impact to the trading desk with upside potential. You will be working directly with the Portfolio Managers, traders and the business head in identifying data needs and implementing high quality data service for trading and research.

How you make an impact:

  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Researchers in identifying data needs for multi-asset systematic strategy group.
  • Lead the build out of industry leading data sets for trading mid-frequency systematic strategies.
  • Leading the implementation of right data sourcing strategy and robust data pipelines and data quality management.
  • Owning all the data needs for trading purposes. Implementing processes to deliver timely and accurate data sets every day of trading.
  • Design and development of features using proprietary or industry standard models.  
  • Supporting the trading desk enabling daily efficient operation.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience building data intensive platforms.
  • Prior experience working in a trading team. With in-depth understanding of markets and data needed to trade systematically.
  • Prior experience sourcing and building high quality data sets for systematic strategies.
  • Collaborated with Research teams and Quants.
  • Prior experience implementing modern data pipelines and data lakes is preferable.
  • Likes working in a fast paced and performance-oriented environment.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Working knowledge of high-level machine learning concepts and lifecycle.
  • Prior experience dealing with unstructured data.

The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set.
