Our challenge

We are looking for a passionate Senior QE to join our team with expertise in Automation, Pytest, Selenium and Python.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Halifax, NS is CAD $85k - CAD $95k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Test Automation Development:
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Testing Strategy:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and enhance product quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality practices.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in test automation tools and processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Reporting:
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to the development and management teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest actionable solutions.

Requirements:

You are:

• Experience with Automated Testing (8+ years)
• Ability to code and read a programming language Python.
• Experience in Pytest, selenium(python)
• Must have developed test automation frameworks
• Experience in API automation, UI automation
• Experience in GitHub actions

It would be great if you also had:

• Experience working with large datasets and complex data environments
• Experience with airflow, Databricks, Data lake, Pyspark
• Knowledge and working experience in Agile methodologies
• Experience in CI/CD/CT methodology
• Experience in Test methodologies (8+ years)
• Familiarity with Azure/AWS (preferred) or any cloud service(acceptable)
• Familiarity testing and interacting with Data Stores (both relational and non-relational) SQL, MongoDB, Postgress
• Familiarity with Virtualization and Containerization tools and concepts
