Senior QA Engineer (UFT Automation Testing)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sr. QA Engineer with a strong background in UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation testing on various systems, including web-based and desktop-based applications. You will be responsible for designing automation frameworks, executing automated regression tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using UFT and VBScript.
• Execute automated regression tests as per release timelines.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to resolve issues.
• Create and integrate continuous testing pipelines with Jenkins.
• Manage and drive all test automation-related activities for the project.
• Design and execute manual tests to better understand application functionality.
• Contribute to functional testing and automation governance.

Core Skills:

• Automation Testing: Hands-on experience in automation testing on various kinds of systems (web-based, desktop-based, etc.).
• UFT and VBScript: Strong knowledge of UFT and proficiency in VBScript language.
• Automation Framework Design: Ability to design automation frameworks as per client’s requirements.
• Continuous Testing Pipelines: Good knowledge of creating continuous testing pipelines and integration with Jenkins.
• Configuration Management: Working knowledge of configuration management tools like GIT and BitBucket.

Additional Skills:

• Test Automation Integration: Experience with integrating test automation with Jenkins.
• Script Execution: Good knowledge of creating and executing scripts using UFT.
• Programming and Analytical Skills: Strong programming and analytical skills.
• Database Skills: Good database skills in SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Banking Domain Knowledge: Good to have knowledge in the banking domain.

Experience:

• Hands-on automation testing experience on various systems.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test automation through UFT tool.
• Experience with configuration management tools and continuous testing pipelines.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Design and develop automation frameworks using UFT.
• Execute automated regression tests according to release timelines.
• Collaborate with team members to define project requirements and resolve issues.
• Integrate test automation with Jenkins and manage configurations.
• Perform manual tests to understand application functionality and contribute to functional testing.
• Document test processes and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in UFT, VBScript, or software testing methodologies (optional but preferred).
