The opportunity
Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Trading team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing automated tests to validate the functionality of web applications, analyzing the functionality of the application, reviewing requirements, as well as creating test plans and detailed test cases. You'll work with developers and product managers to understand requirements and use cases. You also have programming skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to wear multiple hats.
Your impact
- Complete automation suite for regression testing and functional test suite
- Reduction of bug leakage
- Partner with engineering and product management to ensure quality delivery of every feature being developed
- Mentor junior team members and be a role model
- Improve the automation framework to enhance the scalability
- Identify and develop design patterns and practices within the quality assurance team
- Build mock services/alternate testing techniques to increase test coverage
What you bring
- Experience - 5+ years of experience working as Senior QA Engineer at a B2B financial services or fintech organization
- Experience with testing trading systems or order management systems is REQUIRED
- Strong experience in building front and back end automation framework
- Understanding of databases, SQL, and application server
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and test-driven development
- Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks
- Strong experience in Java is required

$170,000—$225,000 USD

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs). A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, internal pay equity, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically in conjunction with performance review cycles.
