GENERAL SUMMARY:
Coordinates the recruitment, interviewing, and pre-employment process. Assists in the creation of a work community of choice at MercyOne.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Represents MercyOne as an employer. Understanding of entire organization, mission, leadership and how work relates Maintains broad knowledge of available MercyOne positions and benefits. High level of cultural competency and demonstration of the same in all interactions Develops working relationships with physicians, clinic managers and others both externally and internally to provide networking and recruitment sources. Build and maintain relationships with medical schools and residency programs. Works with clinic and physician leaders to develop Practice Profile as a guideline for locating qualified candidates. Develops, implements and monitors marketing plan for each opening Utilize various sourcing strategies (online channels, career fairs, networking, referrals, etc.) to attract qualified provider candidates. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates to determine suitability for open positions. Conducts initial screening of candidates to determine suitability (using CV, reference/credential, review, etc.) Sources, recruits and interviews qualified APP, AHP and physician candidates Conducts and maintains accountability for references and background checks. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers to ensure favorable outcomes (e.g.: new hires, salary discussions, and others). Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and provider candidates. Coordinates effort to provide each candidate a thorough and personalized onsite interview experience, including arranging visit details. Stays in contact with candidate during the interviewing and contracting period, attempts to maintain candidate interest. Communicates vital information to candidates and interviewers in a timely and clear manner Is excellent communicator, keeping all parties involved and informed Keeps excellent records in adherence of company policy and contract needs Files timely and accurate reports as requested to keep all parties apprised of progress, candidates and issues. Reviews salary requirements and pay ranges for new hires. Facilitate the negotiation and offer process. Works with candidates and coordinates the housing, school and other related needs for the move as requested. Assists with notification process ensuring all interested parties have details and information to prepare for start date. Assist with assigned projects and related needs. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to provider recruitment. Stays current with federal and state loan repayment programs, rural designations, HPSAs and HUAs., National Health Services Corps, Prime Care, etc. Maintains working knowledge of US Immigration laws and processes. Serves as mentor to new provider recruitment colleagues Represent regional director and MercyOne at provider recruitment association meetings, Trinity meetings, meetings with market leaders. Lead, identify and recommend professional development opportunities for the provider recruitment team.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field required
- No less than 6 years of provider recruitment experience
- Prior Human Resources, physician or APP, AHP recruitment, or healthcare management experience required
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrate positive customer service orientation
- Must maintain confidentiality; use sound judgment, and discretion
- Strong understanding of provider specialties, medical licensing requirements, and healthcare industry trends.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software/tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with candidates and stakeholders.
