The Role:

As a Senior Proposal Development Manager, you will play a vital role in securing high-value opportunities and driving the organization’s growth by crafting winning proposals that position Tiree as a trusted industry leader. Combining strategic vision with hands-on expertise, you will lead the creative direction of proposals, craft compelling narratives, and ensure submissions are visually engaging.

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, a strong writer, and a proactive collaborator who contributes to Tiree's growth through winning proposals. This role is perfect for a dynamic professional who excels in both high-level strategy and execution, willing to step in wherever contribute to the proposal team’s success.


What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Director, Proposals, responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Proposal Development: manage the entire proposal process, from kickoff to submission, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
  • Creative Direction: establish win themes, key messaging, and innovative approaches to ensure standout submissions.
  • Content Creation: write and edit persuasive, client-tailored proposals, including technical content, executive summaries, and value-add statements. Work closely with SMEs to gather technical information and translate it into clear, concise, and impactful messaging. Ensure all content adheres to the organization’s brand voice and messaging standards, creating a cohesive client experience.
  • Design & Presentation: use tools such as Adobe InDesign to create visually compelling, professional proposal layouts that meet brand standards.
  • Process Innovation and Quality Assurance: identify and implement technologies, including AI tools, to streamline proposal development and enhance quality.
  • Market Analysis: conduct research on client organizations, competitors, and industry trends to inform proposal strategy and positioning. Collaborate with Marketing to leverage market insights and data, ensuring proposals align with client challenges and industry demand
  • Content Management: maintain a library of reusable content, templates, and compliance matrices for efficient proposal creation.


What You’ll Bring:

  • 10 years experience leading complex RFP responses across public and private sector industries, with a deep understanding of private sector submissions specifically, and a proven track record of wins.
  • Experience developing strategic briefs to guide proposal themes, messaging, and creative direction, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational priorities.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, persuasion, and tone tailored to the audience
  • A curious mind driving you to deeply understand the subject matter and ask the right questions to uncover key information for proposals.
  • Strong proposal management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines under pressure. Familiarity with proposal tools and industry best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to work effectively with SMEs, marketing teams, and senior leadership, fostering a collaborative proposal process.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign or similar software, with experience designing visually engaging and professional proposal layouts, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality deliverables.
  • Meticulous focus on detail to ensure compliance, accuracy, and adherence to client requirements.
  • Experience with AI-powered writing tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Knowledge of market research tools and analytics platforms to gather insights that inform proposal strategies.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
