Position Summary

 

The project control’s role in the Chicago region involves working with multiple stakeholders to prepare, update, and review design and construction schedules in Primavera P6 and forecast and update cost and resource projections. The qualified candidate will review design changes, and change orders prepared by contractors, which may involve cost, resource, and time adjustments, and gather schedule and cost project information and related owner tasks to translate the data to accurately reflect the overall progress on the projects. This is a hybrid position with weekly site visits to client project locations in the Chicago region.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience in collaborating and resolving project issues and working independently with minimal direction required.
  • Experience with project schedule resources and cost loading required.
  • Expert in Oracle Primavera P6 required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform schedule reviews and ensure effective and efficient best practices for scheduling required.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and other ad hoc reports 
  • Evaluate extension of time claims, including concurrent delay, and make appropriate recommendations to the project team
  • Experience with presenting work products and facilitating work sessions preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or oil & gas industry preferred.

Additional Requirements

 

Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.

 

Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
