The Senior Project Manager manages, plans, coordinates, and leads all aspects of enterprise-wide projects and test & learn opportunities. The Senior Project Manager may coach and/or mentor more junior Project Managers.
- Develop detailed project plans that consist of desired outcomes, scope, timeline, milestones, tasks, communication strategies, and deliverable schedules.
- Drive large and complex enterprise-wide projects.
- Coach and mentor less experienced project managers; Review project plans of less experienced project managers to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Align team on hypotheses, key qualitative and quantitative metrics, and ROI model parameters.
- Proactively identify and document risks and corresponding mitigation plans.
- Act as SME for any questions or opportunities during project development, pilot, or implementation.
- Take on role of project leader, driving progress, elevating roadblocks, resolving opportunities, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Measure project or pilot performance against agreed-upon metrics.
- For pilot opportunities, align team on findings, final recommendation, and next steps.
A Senior Project Manager requires advanced knowledge of project management tools and behaviors obtained thorough education and/or work experience and may require some vocationally specific education and/or training
- Work requires judgement and effective decision making on complex, enterprise-wide projects of large scope and impact
- Complex work is performed autonomouisly with little supervision or guidance. May also coach and review the work of lower level professionals
- Communicates very complex information, requiring technical explaination to executive stakeholders. Effectively address questions and concerns.
