Senior Project Manager

Pond is recruiting a self-motivated individual to serve as our Senior Project Manager in our Jacksonville, Florida office. Our Transportation team currently provides multidisciplined design and design-related services to State and Municipal clients. This is a leadership position within our firm that will manage both Operations and Business Development for our roadway practice in Florida. This position will also work as an integral part of our entire Transportation team to achieve overall goals. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in the pursuit and delivery of transportation projects, proven leadership skills and a strong work ethic. Marketing/Project Pursuits

• Actively lead pursuits in concert with the overall Transportation team, Pond Leadership and our Marketing team
• Have Go/No-Go authority on pursuits for Operations in conjunction with our Marketing team
• Assess strategic hires for better positioning in pursuit phase
• Actively engage DOT and other clients to assess, develop, and align service offering to be a leader for transportation design services

Operational Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics for the FL Transportation Practice
• Responsible to work with Project Managers and Design Team for day to day decisions on resource allocation, staffing, and project budgets
• Responsible for assessment of resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needs
• Review and approve of new hires
• Responsible for training, mentoring, and professional development of direct reports

Technical Responsibilities

• Function as Sr. Design Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager as needed to win opportunities, achieve technical results and desired client outcomes
• Oversee and actively manage the roadway practice Quality Assurance Program
• Assist the Transportation practice in branding Pond as an industry recognized technical expert

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
• 15 - 20 years of transportation/roadway and drainage design experience is preferred.
• Professional Engineer, P.E. certification is required
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, practices and techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.

Additional Information
 

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Project Manager with a salary range of $111,500.00 - $180,000.00 .
