The position
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be joining a department driving our expanding portfolio of delivery system projects, being a project manager of primary packaging and delivery systems for injectable drugs like vial/syringe systems or manual pre-filled syringe.
Your main responsibilities will be focused on:

  • Facilitating outsourced development with external partners like CDMO's
  • The development plan, resource planning, timely delivery on projects, and providing input to overall project budget
  • Ensuring timely delivery of design/products for clinical trials and documentation for submission
  • Leading the project team of primary and secondary packaging development engineers for clinical trials/market from ideation phase to drug product launch
  • Acting as point of contact in project governance, bringing decisions forward driving the project forward according to overall timelines
  • Ensuring agreements and good collaboration between stakeholders, including coordination with drug development and production, which is key to success


You will work closely with colleagues in drug and device development, Product Supply, and Supply Chain to assent to the requirements. The assignments carried out by the departments are diverse as we deliver to all parts of Novo Nordisk. For this reason, you will have the opportunity to be part of the solution for a variety of challenges.
Qualifications
To be a great asset, you will have:

  • A master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferably within product development in life science, or another highly regulated industry
  • Experience in primary or secondary packaging for pharmaceutical products, medical devices or other regulated area
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

About the departments
Primary Packaging Development is a department situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions, a business unit within the global Development organisation located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk's pharmaceutical products. The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competences required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/device combination product and device projects. You will be part of an organisation of highly skilled people - maybe the best in the industry.
You will join a growing and dynamic area called Packaging and Verification Development, consisting of close to 200 highly skilled and ambitious employees, people who work dedicated to developing, and implementing packaging solutions and testing in Novo Nordisk portfolio.
