The Senior Project Manager, IT Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex IT infrastructure projects from inception to completion. Reporting into Associate Director, Network Engineering, this role also includes managing datacenter operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, project management methodologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Collaborate with IT architects and engineers to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions, including data centers, cloud services, and network systems, while supporting datacenter-related projects and initiatives.

Coordinate with stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations teams, to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project milestones.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring effective utilization and adherence to project plans, and continuously monitor progress by tracking key performance indicators and providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Oversee the procurement and deployment of IT hardware and software, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and policies.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing best practices in project management and IT infrastructure.

Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of colocation and on-prem datacenter infrastructure.

Ensure datacenter operations comply with industry standards and regulations, including maintaining physical security and environmental controls.

Oversee the Disaster Recovery Program, managing disaster recovery activities for all critical applications across on-premises environments, cloud IaaS, and SaaS vendors. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and evaluating annual disaster recovery testing
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.

Knowledge of colocation and on-prem datacenter operations and infrastructure.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to project management.
Working Conditions:

This position is based in Toronto, Ontario, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
