Key Areas of Responsibilities

Help achieve Market connectivity, Cash Equities and Program trading business plan, through deep understanding of how Global markets operate, and knowledge of local counterparties such as technology vendors, regulators, brokers.

Build strong relationships with sales/traders, particularly those based in Asia sites. This include understanding their requirements and translating these into actionable IT tasks.

Drive project work across disparate and global IT teams, as well as work with other stakeholders in Business Management, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, and Audit.

Develop budgets, track finance, and control costs. This include tracking purchases and invoices.

Provide day-to-day system support, particularly during critical system go-live periods.

Build technology teams: developers, analysts, and QA.

Hands on delivery managers covering day-to-day work;
- Collect requirements and put the requirements into the business requirement documentation (BRD) to confirm the product requested or work items are matched with business expectation. Collect sign off on the BRD with business stakeholders such as Compliance, Sales Trading and other teams who needs to involve in order to get the end-product delivered
- Work with teams such as QA, Development, Infrastructure, Support and Business to confirm the schedule of projects. Proactively track progress along the project cycle until the product get delivered. Manage the risk and potential gaps if any during project delivery
- Ensure the product delivered matched the signed off BRD and work with users to perform UAT so that users can understand the product usage and new workflow if any
- BAU Priority and Testing - Work with business to confirm priority for trading system such as Viper, Liquid, Cobra, Python, and Fuse/Blaze.
- Review business test cases and conduct new feature tests.
- Hand-hold UAT and provide trainings to new users when needed
- Prepare change tickets, and defend tickets during CAB and Trading System change committee
-Run governance meetings: business prioritization, PWG, go-live run-book reviews
- L3 support (escalation for production incidents from users and TechOps).
Requirements

Degree in IT/Computer Science/Info Management, or Business related discipline(s)

8 - 10 years relevant experience from banking/finance with good understanding of securities trading and experience in technology project management

Track record as problem solver: help all teams achieve their goals through coordination, communication, and adherence to process.

Commercially minded while taking a structured approach to getting things done.

Deep understanding of equities trading and the Global regulatory framework.

Experience building and leading tech teams (devOps, analysts, and testers)

Understanding of complete trade flow within an investment bank, front-to-back office.

Proven track record facing off to senior stakeholders in the business and Technology

Strong communicator and independent

Firm manager, yet congenial and good listener.
