Join our civil business, a division of Fulton Hogan specialising in infrastructure construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from bridges and wharves to water treatment plants, storage tanks and pipelines.
In this role, you’ll see yourself responsible for the effective delivery of heavy civil/structures projects. This includes the planning, resourcing and coordination from end to end, whilst ensuring we achieve and exceed all targets, including safety standards, quality standards, budgets, programme and project objectives.
On a day-to-day basis you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing construction plans and documentation
- Managing the construction team and sub-contractors
- Planning the execution of the works and developing construction methodology for all elements of the works
- Providing a monthly forecast of cost to complete to the Commercial Manager, and an estimate of the work completed in terms of percentages complete to the planner
- Optimising the use of material, plant and labour
- Reporting progress and performance to the Operations Manager
- Maintaining a safe and tidy site, assisting in the development of management systems and ensuring compliance within your team
- Undertaking regular inspections to ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are achieved across the project.
We’re looking for someone with
- A tertiary qualification (CEng or similar) with at least 10 years + post graduate experience
- Demonstrated commercial ability including cost control and programming, you work within budget, and you have proven success with positive commercial outcomes
- A depth of expertise in a range of civil construction project delivery
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of key stakeholders
- A clear, concise communicator.
