Reporting to the National DC Manager, you will be responsible for planning and execution of capital projects for our Distribution Center in Truganina, including capex and cash flow management.
Leading the capital engineering function, this role is accountable for developing and executing the site engineering master plans in conjunction with the Site Manager and BD function and operational teams. (strategic sourcing, capacity and capability development to support new product development, facility and asset long-range plans).
How you will contribute:

  • Define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during the development phase of mid to large capital investment projects so that accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions are provided.
  • Plan, design, and execute automation projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable improvements in performance.
  • Develop the capital budget according to the contract and forecast cash flow
  • Implement state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with Mondelēz International (MDLZ) frameworks for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), quality standards, sanitary design, and procurement processes. Manage engineering resources, people management and development needs.
  • Select, negotiate with, and manage third-party suppliers and contractors for automation equipment, ensuring that they meet project scope, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Provide technical leadership in automation and engineering to the onsite team, developing their skills in troubleshooting, operating, and maintaining automated systems
  • Monitor and optimize contractor performance to maintain high standards of quality and productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks in automation projects, such as integration challenges, system failures, or bottlenecks, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact


What you will bring:
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • Extensive capital engineering project management experience in a large multinational company
  • Fluency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, project management software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
  • Project Management Certification (ex: PMP, PRINCE2) and Lean Six Sigma certification highly desirable
  • Experience with Automation and Robotics projects or operations
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and lead a high performing team in a complex environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Senior-level technical expertise across engineering disciplines


Work schedule:

  • This is an onsite role. You will be working 5 days a week from site.
