Senior Product Software Engineer – Clearfacts (Accounting Team)
About the Role
Join our team as a Senior Product Software Engineer, where you'll take the lead in designing and developing the core features of Clearfacts, a pre-accounting software used by accountants and their SME clients. As part of the Accounting Team, you’ll focus on enhancing the portal used by accountants, ensuring its scalability, performance, and robustness as we process millions of documents.
You'll play a key role in new feature development, maintaining and optimizing existing functionalities, integrating AI-powered enhancements, and driving technical excellence across the team. Key Responsibilities

Lead the development team in the creation of new features, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions for accountants and their clients.

Enhance and maintain core components of Clearfacts, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.

Drive technical excellence by setting coding standards, improving development workflows, and mentoring the team.

Optimize system scalability as we handle millions of documents, ensuring efficient data processing and performance.

Collaborate closely with the product team, support team, and operations team to improve user experience and resolve complex issues.

Implement AI integrations where applicable, enhancing automation and efficiency for accounting workflows.

Ensure high code quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and best practices.

Act as the main driver for innovation, continuously improving our technology stack and development processes.
Tech Stack & Skills
We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in:

Backend Development: PHP (Symfony preferred)

Frontend Development: React (is a plus)

Cloud Infrastructure: AWS

Database Management: Amazon Aurora (MySQL compatible)

Agile Development: Experience working in Scrum teams and collaborating with Product Owners

Fluent in Dutch & English

Bonus: Interest in the financial/accounting sector is a plus but not required.
