Greenlight is a fintech company that makes a debit card for kids and companion apps for the family. We proudly serve more than 6.5 million parents and kids, with in-app tools for sending money, setting savings goals, monitoring balances, managing chores, automating allowance and investing.
But that’s not all that we do. Here at Greenlight, we are on a mission to support parents and help every kid grow up to be financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, but it’s the reason we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for kids depends on it.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our core product team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading Greenlight in delivering best-in-class user experiences for cashless convenience and parental controls. Working with Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Design, and Engineering teams, you will use an evidence-based approach to understand current customer and market behaviors, identify new opportunities, and launch new solutions to grow the business.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone passionate about building innovative products in financial technology - you’ll be expected to develop strong opinions about Greenlight’s competitive positioning and lead us towards strategic opportunities that provide superior personal finance solutions to families. You’re a great fit if you have a strong drive to solve and prioritize customer needs in a way that is viable for our core business. The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire product development lifecycle - learning quickly and iteratively through Product Discovery, and coordinating continuous delivery of value through an agile Product Delivery cycle. You will have experience quickly identifying customer problems and driving decision making through customer empathy, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and A/B testing.
What you will be doing:
- Dig deep, ruthlessly prioritize - Tear down competitor products, dive into internal consumer data, conduct and leverage user research, and juggle multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders to gather evidence that informs your priorities.
- Ship Fast, Learn Fast - Inform product decisions with quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior and experimentation (e.g. a/b testing, survey data, usability studies). Transform high level business objectives into best-in-breed consumer experience that amazes and delights our users while meeting aggressive business growth targets.
- Measure - Identify your goal and metrics to drive prioritization and timely delivery of products and experiments. Develop a set of KPIs and reporting and analytics to monitor, and report product trends. Quickly iterate based on insights from your analysis to continuously improve upon your KPIs.
- Lead - Own the business success of your product area and drive product initiatives from inception through execution by leading cross functional teams including risk, compliance, engineering, design, and marketing.
What you should bring:
- 6+ years experience as a product manager in FinTech, mobile B2C and/or card payments experience
- Strong understanding of the U.S. card payments ecosystem, including the different stages of card issuance, the lifecycle of an issued card, and how transactions against that card are processed. Experience with U.S. card embossers and/or payment processors preferred.
- You have great product and business instincts and use that expertise as the foundation for your product work.
- You are fascinated by modern payments innovations, and eager to find ways to apply new technologies to old problems, in a way that delights both parents and kids.
- You are insatiably curious about consumer behavior and desire to learn about those behaviors from talking to customers, gathering data, and using other resources to develop a hypothesis and validate it. Experience running user-facing UI A/B testing and working with experimentation platforms preferred.
- You are highly analytical, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data to identify behavioral insights.
- Working cross-functionally is a way of life for you. You thrive in environments where you must bring different disciplines and points of view together and balance competing priorities and deadlines.
- You act. You know how to make things happen and figure out workarounds when the team hits roadblocks. You anticipate and plan for potential major problems.
- You have an ownership mentality and have a high level of accountability. You identify opportunities for improvement across product, process, communication and take the lead on implementing improvement.
- You are a creative and scrappy problem solver.
- Above all, you have a growth mindset and are goal-oriented.
