ABOUT THE TEAM

Basis' Product team guides the innovation and development of our comprehensive tech platform, Basis. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry.


Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers.


The Design System team ensures a cohesive, scalable, and efficient user experience across the platform. This platform team meets regularly with other teams to review upcoming work, ensuring consistency, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and expanding the Design System with reusable components. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with our platform customers to gather insights and improve the platform's effectiveness.

WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Leading the evolution of Basis’ Design System and Platform UX, balancing internal enablement and direct customer-facing experiences. You will define UI/UX paradigms, reusable design components, navigation models, and API integrations, ensuring a seamless experience for both users and development teams.
  • Defining and governing UX paradigms, ensuring platform-wide consistency, usability, and accessibility. You will act as a trusted advisor across teams, helping PMs and designers build features that align with the broader platform experience.
  • Translating complex ideas into clear, actionable roadmaps, ensuring alignment across teams and effectively communicating priorities and benefits to stakeholders.
  • Owning and executing the Design System & Platform UX strategy, facilitating ongoing collaboration with Engineering, Design, and Product teams. You will lead monthly reviews with designers and PMs to ensure consistency across features, identify efficiencies, and expand the Design System with reusable components.
  • Leading release strategy and execution, ensuring successful rollouts from internal testing to general availability. You will collaborate across teams to define release milestones, manage risk, and drive adoption.
  • Cultivating a deep understanding of the customer to develop empathy for their challenges, opportunities, and motivations. You will engage directly with agency users to gather feedback, identify pain points, and enhance platform usability.
  • Leading product discovery and iteration by breaking down complex problems into clear development priorities and actionable backlogs.
  • Identifying and analyzing metrics that track our success and inform product decisions.
  • Owning and evolving global navigation, layout structures, and shared UX patterns to create a seamless and intuitive platform experience.
  • Developing and maintaining a scalable Design System with reusable UI components that ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across all customer-facing experiences.
  • Applying knowledge and experience of agile practices and techniques to help lead cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzing the competitive landscape and industry trends to inform product strategy.
  • Acknowledging and embracing diversity of thought and opinion, and approach with Beeps, clients and vendors, regardless of background, culture, and organizational level. Specific examples include, but are not limited to:

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Five to ten years’ experience working closely with agile software development teams, with at least three years of professional B2B software product management experience.
  • Passion for and a proven track record in delivering superior value to users and achieving positive customer outcomes.
  • A strong sense of ownership, measuring success through product impact and customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrable superior communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written) 
  • Strong grasp of how to assess and evaluate product-market opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • Preference given to individuals with enterprise platform/SaaS experience and/or digital advertising industry expertise

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
