The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Strategy and Business Transformation team at the outset of an exciting journey to shape the future of investing for Canadians by delivering a best-in-class investor wealth platform.

Reporting to the Head of Product Delivery, this role is responsible for ensuring Aviso’s investor wealth solution is valuable and viable and will solve difficult customer and business problems in ways that our customers will love. You will gain a deep understanding of our users and customers and seek the data to truly understand how our customers will engage with our product. You will spearhead and drive change, bringing our initial vision to life and charting the course for continued success.

As the product owner, you will have an elevated, strategic focus and will shape the product vision to consistently align with the organization’s purpose of powering businesses that empower investors. You’re not merely managing a backlog of potential enhancements – while that’s important, you look at the backlog with a value lens to ensure our customers don’t simply use our products; they choose to do business with us each day because the product experience is intuitive and a pleasure to use.

Who you are:

  • Service – You consider both internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate intent of understanding and putting the clients’ needs first. You advocate service excellence and work to deliver solutions that meet the needs. You proactively develop strategic partnerships that allow Aviso Wealth to become a trusted advisor and partner
  • Execution – You are committed to achieving your goals and to succeed. This includes focusing on “getting things done”, as well as recognizing and taking advantage of opportunities as they arise. You are consistently looking for ways to improve your personal best and see value in continuous improvement. You take accountability for your actions and learn from mistakes
  • Collaboration – You work collaboratively with others with the common goal of driving positive results. Making meaningful contributions to your team to achieve organizational goals is a priority. You proactively encourage collaboration, build trust and inclusion, and work to establish effective relationships both inside and outside of the organization

What your day looks like:

  • Drive consistent innovation through your innate curiosity and your passion to compel the product team to continually track industry trends and the competitive landscape, constantly enhancing a product backlog that keeps Aviso at the forefront of the innovation curve
  • Collaborate closely with the product designer, tech lead and the software engineers to discover solutions and bring those solutions to market via an incremental delivery plan
  • Work with internal teams to gain an understanding of business constraints which may arise from several different areas of the business, be it marketing, compliance, operations, technology and/or privacy
  • Hold the accountability for defining value and delivering valuable outcomes which could be customer, business or technical metrics that will help us gauge the success of each release
  • Manage product iteration within an agile-oriented team and influence all stakeholders to drive value-oriented results and not be just content with the delivery of new features and code
  • Foster a highly collaborative environment built upon trust, inclusion, and a genuine desire to deliver a great product through active listening and understanding the passions and strengths of others
  • Use data and logic and feedback from business stakeholders to adopt new ideas and work together with the team to review and assess user stories with a customer-centric lens
  • Evangelize the product within the team and throughout the organization
Requirements

Your experience and skills:
