About Tint

Tint enables SaaS platforms and marketplaces to unlock growth and improve profitability through embedded insurance and protection. We offer plug-and-play and white-labeled integrations, equipping brands we partner with a sophisticated mix of technology infrastructure, services, and deep industry expertise. Embedded insurance can transform insurance from a product bought separately to a feature of brands consumers love and we are on a mission to make that happen.

Happy Tint customers include Turo, Deel, uShip, Guesty, Neighbor, BabyQuip, and CitizenShipper, among others.

We've raised $30M and are backed by world-class investors such as Y Combinator, QED, Deciens, Nyca, Plug and Play, WIN, Soma Capital, and Pioneer Fund.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager on a small but growing product team, you will drive product innovation from inception, execution and iteration for some of the highest impact initiatives in the booming insurtech industry. You will also help evolve the product culture as we grow into a world class product-driven organization.

Your fingerprints will be all over our state-of-the-art web app and APIs used by our clients to manage their insurance programs. Your work will, in turn, benefit end consumers in a uniquely varied range of industries (Car sharing, home sharing, cargo & shipping).

You will work directly with customers, the leadership team and all teams at Tint and will help evolve the product culture and team. You will drive ambiguous initiatives from 0 to 1 and be able to create plans for executing on key roadmap initiatives, coordinate with designers to create prototypes and best in class user experiences, be responsible for developing user stories and test cases for product features, and define and manage sprint goals with the engineering teams.

You are a general athlete and are not afraid to dive deep in topics new to you to ship impactful products, using any method necessary: user research, partnering with internal teams, identifying new technologies etc.

At Tint, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of insurance technology, enjoying significant autonomy to turn ambiguous challenges into successful innovations. If you’re eager to make a tangible impact in a rapidly evolving industry and lead the way in creating exciting protection solutions, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll do at Tint

  • Onboarding: reduce time to value, from when a customer signs up to when they are live selling protection policies via Tint to end consumers. This includes building the user interfaces for end consumers to easily purchase and change their policies, developing insurance transaction functionality, and integrating end-to-end data flow to and from the customers brand and other technologies used in the product stack
  • Integration: help our customers' product and engineering teams launch Tint as easily as integrating the Stripe API.
  • Innovation: Develop new and unique approaches to solving our customers pain points and maximizing the product performance for Tint to help us reach our goals
  • Performance: customers need visibility on their insurance program's growth. Make it simple for them to understand which levers they have to increase revenue and profitability. Make those levers actionable with the relevant product features.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years working in the insurance industry on policy administration and/or billing technology
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager working in an agile environment managing end-to-end product stacks, from conceptualization (0) to launch (1)
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with senior leadership, designers, engineers, and data analysts to ship products
  • Experience working with APIs, SaaS and/or Enterprise products
  • An ability to deep-dive into complex technical concepts coupled with an ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • An ability to get to the root of a problem and develop innovative solutions that align with the product vision and strategy
  • Strong analytical skills to assess overall product performance, evaluate impact of product features and issues, and identify areas of opportunity
  • Proven ability to coordinate teams, manage stakeholders (internal and external) and work cross-functionally to achieve objectives
  • Strong organizational skills to manage the many moving parts of the delivery cycles
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating customer issues and needs
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging customer insights, competitive landscape and market research to deeply understand consumer needs, pain points, and behaviors

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working in InsurTech
  • Experience with ML/AI technologies
  • Business acumen, possibly evidenced by an MBA or insurance qualifications
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Background in underwriting, actuarial science, claims, or similar roles within the insurance industry before transitioning to Product Management
