What does your job as a Senior Product Manager look like?
We're currently looking for a Senior Product Manager for Retail Saving and Investment Solutions (‘fourth pillar’), an area where NN Belgium aims to make a difference in the market with innovative solutions that maximize value for customers. In this field, NN Belgium’s product strategy is to focus on branche 23 solutions (i.e. unit-linked products) optionally complemented with protection riders.
You will
-
identify market opportunities and customer needs based on a thorough understanding of the market (e.g. benchmarking, competitive analysis, marketing input).

design products and solutions that meet the specific needs of the customer, are distinctive in the market, and align with the wishes of our distribution partners.

make the business case with your product proposals to get management approval.
-
have a thorough understanding of the end-to-end insurance value chain, from financial to legal, from IT systems and operational processes to marketing and sales.

act as an ambassador for your products, both internally and externally.

get the other departments on board with your proposals (especially Finance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Compliance, ...) in a steering way at the heart of the organization.

regularly analyse the sales results for each product in the portfolio, as well as the financial circumstances and the competing products.

ensure that your products comply with Belgian and European legislation,
-
follow developments in the field of digitization, and are interested in the technological evolution of the financial and insurance world.
This is how you fit perfectly into our team
You have
-
a university degree or equivalent experience.
-
knowledge of and affinity with insurance based investment products for retail clients.
-
sound understanding of financial markets dynamics and investment solutions.
-
at least eight years demonstrable experience in relevant fields, in particular product management, or related domain (banking investment, operations, project management, marketing).

an excellent knowledge of English: ability to write product documentation and decision notes, ability to take part in (senior management) meetings in English.

at least conversational / collaborative knowledge of Dutch and French. Advanced knowledge of either language would be an asset.
