Position Overview

Are you an experienced Senior Product Manager with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to connect internal platforms to customer outcomes? Autodesk, the leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, is recruiting for a results-oriented senior product manager in the Autodesk Internal Development Platform team. Autodesk Internal Development Platform is used by thousands of Autodesk developers to build, deploy, monitor and deliver SaaS products which see the scale of millions of hits/hour. As a product leader, you will drive the roadmap for Autodesk Internal Development Platform by turning our strategy into applicable steps that reduce toil and increase developer productivity. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to successfully manage and develop product management skills within the team, evolving it into a leader of PM practices at Autodesk. You will also need the ability to manage cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority and speak to both business and technical teams. You must be able to work independently, have a history of successful product implementations and be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver positive outcomes for our customers. You will report to the Director of Product Management for Developer Enablement. This is a hybrid working model role working with global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage a lean product mindset to drive product decisions, roadmap development, and platform technology choices that serve both our internal development community and external customers

  • Own the creation, evolution, and communication of your prioritized roadmap and plans—aligning them with our mission, business goals, and desired customer outcomes

  • Define and set up modern product management practices and processes to improve roadmap prioritization transparency along with team predictability

  • Lead feature prioritization discussions, supported by compelling cost-benefit analysis and research to justify prioritization decisions

  • You will be expected to present to senior leadership and members of C-Staff

  • Apply facilitative leadership to drive cross-organizational decision-making and prioritization with senior leadership, fostering adoption of the Autodesk Internal Development Platform

  • Manage expectations of stakeholders through frequent and clear communication of vision, strategy, and product roadmap

  • Document user needs in workflows, use cases, or customer journeys

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-8 years working as a Senior Product Manager on platform technologies

  • 5-8 years of experience with development platform systems such as Kubernetes, data platforms, Artifactory, GitHub, Dynatrace, and CloudBee

  • Prior experience in platform product management with expertise in building customer-focused experiences based on analytics and data research

  • Experience with desktop software installation and deployment tools such as MSI, MSIX, SCCM, Intune, and Microsoft Rings  

  • Break down complex problems into user-focused solutions

  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners

  • Manage complex end-to-end product launches across multiple internal stakeholder teams

  • Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical teams, business representatives, executives, and customers

  • A problem solver who thrives on breaking down complex challenges and crafting elegant solutions

  • A Product Manager who sets goals, measures success, and enables their teammates to make an impact

  • A customer advocate who can weigh competing priorities and maintain an ongoing feedback loop between other teams and external customers

  • A teammate who contributes to the team growth and continuous improvement

  • An energetic presenter who can tell compelling stories and actively listen to feedback
