Senior Product Designer (Video Verification)

At Noonlight our mission is to protect and comfort people so they can live freely. What began as an app focused on helping people walk safely from point A to point B, is now a suite of emergency response APIs backing some of the latest commercial security, smart home, health, and lifestyle products in the market.

We are looking for an experienced designer to improve Noonlight’s video verification product, which is currently used by live agents to review over 20K motion, person, or weapon detections per day. You will partner with customer success, Noonlight agents, and our AI/ML Lead Engineer to design and test new features that produce faster and more accurate responses to video events. Alongside the product team, you will be asked to  balance three guiding principles: zero missed emergencies, zero unwanted disruptions, and fastest resolution.

What Excites You:

  • Following the latest in AI, computer vision, and ChatGPT “tasks”
  • Saving people and property in real life emergencies

What Excites Us:

  • Willingness to test, learn, and improve in quick cycles
  • Strong sense of ownership, work ethic and self-motivation
  • Exceptional problem solving/analytical skills
  • Experience leading design projects from start to finish, including working with product managers and engineers to proactively identify potential barriers

Design experience that may make you a great candidate:

  • Experience designing for people who are tasked in binary decision making - things like airport security/scan imaging, radiology software and medical imaging, pass/fail quality control software, content moderation like social media user-generated content, etc.
  • Experience designing for people performing repetitive tasks for long hours
  • Experience designing for gaming - think hyper-focused, fast-paced, accuracy-involved, win/lose scenarios
  • Experience designing video controls, such as play, pause, rewind, fast-forward, zoom, advanced panning, split-screen, or marking a specific frame or segment of video for further review or escalation
  • Experience designing contextual help or tooltip features

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years experience designing SaaS products, video players, dashboards, or mobile applications
  • Online portfolio showcasing examples mentioned above
  • Experience with standard design and animation tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe After Effects, Keynote, and/or prototyping tools
  • Experience leading UX customer interviews
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy, principles, and vision, while demonstrating curiosity and a real passion for crafting amazing experiences
  • Other duties as assigned

Nice-to-haves:

  • Ability to translate your designs from pixels to code, or at least have some basic coding experience
