The Role:

As an experienced Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing the user experience for Clear Street Studio - our flagship product catering to a diverse set of clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and data scientists, to create intuitive interfaces and impactful visualizations that meet the unique needs of our varied client base. Your expertise in Figma and deep understanding of UX best practices will help elevate Studio into a best-in-class platform.

The Team:

Our Design team is focused on unearthing our users’ needs, both internal and external. They are design generalists working closely with a cross-functional team to help create usable and delightful experiences. Clear Street’s designers have varied backgrounds, hailing from agencies, start-ups, and financial institutions. They initiate projects from research and team workshops to final product prototypes and User testing.

 Key Responsibilities:

Design Processes: Define and advocate for the UX vision of Studio, help evolve cross- Product Design processes from initial phase to implementation, and ensuring consistency across the federated app ecosystem.User-Centric Design: Participate in User Research and testing to gather insights and translate them into actionable design solutions.Collaboration: Partner with other Designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align designs with business and technical requirements.Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity prototypes and interactive mockups in Figma to communicate design ideas effectively.Consistency: Contribute to an evolving Design System to ensure a cohesive experience across all applications within Studio.Accessibility: Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and provide a seamless experience for diverse users.

 Qualifications & Capabilities:

Experience: 7+ years of UX design experience, with at least 2 years focused on data-heavy applications or financial services. Experience in UI development; working closely with other designers

Tools:

• Expert in Figma and other design tools.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Comfortable with how React hooks into the front-end

Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your work, particularly in data visualization and federated app design.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and methodologies.
• Experience designing for diverse user personas (Active retail, Institutional, broker-dealers).
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and datasets into intuitive user interfaces.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards
• Great communication and ability to articulate ideas effectively to stakeholders

Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

We Offer:
The Base Salary Range is $170,000 - $225,000. These ranges are representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Which range a candidate fits into and where a candidate falls in the range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. These ranges represent Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The ranges stated do not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
