Job Description - Senior Product Consultant I
The Senior Product Consultant I is responsible for supporting the Disability Income Gap Insurance (DIGI) program and Individual Disability Income (IDI) products. This role provides product development, project management and consultative services to assigned business areas by engaging cross-functional teams that work on complex and highly visible projects.
This is a hybrid position out of MetLife's Tampa, FL office. Fully virtual may be available for applicants with preferred qualifications.
Key Responsibilities

  • Execute DIGI/IDI Product Development initiatives, including the development, implementation and roll-out of new policy forms and product enhancements
  • Provide training on new product releases
  • Act as the Product SME and liaison to Actuarial, Administration, Billing, Commissions, Compliance, Implementation, Legal, Policy Issue, Service and Underwriting teams
  • Maintain current policies, applications and supporting forms
  • Create, distribute and update product reference materials
  • Assist with state filings and track approvals
  • Provide competitive analysis and act as the point of contact for DIGI/IDI competition requests
  • Support IDI Compliance reviews and execute changes as required
  • Provide Agile process support for system enhancements, new product initiatives and problem resolution
  • Provide ongoing support for DIGI/IDI overall, including special projects as needed


Experience and Skills
Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of product development experience
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus
  • Moderate to strong knowledge of the IDI industry
  • The ability to handle complex projects with limited direction


Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience supporting MetLife's DIGI program and/or IDI products
  • 5+ years of experience supporting compliance reviews and market conduct exams
  • Proficient in supporting the Agile development process


The salary range for applicants for this position is 76,500 - 95,000.
