Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Operations team as a Senior Procurement Specialist. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting supply chain operations by managing the planning and procurement of products, materials, and services. You will develop and execute procurement strategies that optimize costs while ensuring adequate supply levels to meet Alphazyme’s evolving business needs.
How you will make an impact:
- Procure products, materials, and services to support business operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and communicate vendor alternatives.
- Track purchase history, manage orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Verify order receipts, process purchase requisitions, and ensure documentation.
- Build and manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with business needs.
- Schedule and coordinate service procurement with impacted departments.
- Monitor procurement expenses and report key management insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality, and safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the department and organization.
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business, finance, or a related field with 3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of industry procedures, costs, and terms.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems, such as NetSuite, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- CPIM/APICS certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently.
- Experience with 21 CFR 820, ICH Q7, ISO 9001, and/or ISO 13485 is a plus.
