As a Senior Procurement Manager at Maersk Project Logistics (MPL), you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading our multi-carrier strategy. You will lead and support early involvement and implementation of special global project tenders, and ensure efficient global vendor administration.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong background in procurement.
Your role will also focus on compliance, global/regional data visibility, cost improvement program, and sustainability within MPL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Projects: Develop the MPL procurement strategy to support and enable the MPL Product Strategy and go to market plan. Develop MPL's multi-carrier procurement strategy, ensuring effective implementation and communication. Lead or support special global project tenders from a global procurement perspective. Advance operational efficiency in MPL by driving digital interface programs with strategic vendors.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Ensure efficient and reliable global vendor administration and continuous vendor relationship development across the global procurement organization in line with our Vendor Category strategy . Oversee the global implementation of the overall vendor assessment journey, including Procure to Pay (PtP) processes. Direct engagement with selected strategy vendors to procure, contract and conduct regular business reviews.
- Compliance & Contracts: Understand, guide, and ensure compliance, ref. Maersk sourcing and contracting policies. Establish and implement platforms such as Seal, Docusign, and contract upload systems.
- Data & Reporting: Ensure vendor data visibility using Cargowise (CW)/Power BI. Keep track of the global MPL maturity assessment. Develop and monitor procurement KPI’s including vendor performance management, and vendor spent analysis.
- Cost & Sustainability: Initiate and demonstrate cost and continuous improvement initiatives improvement initiatives and results. Ensure and implement sustainable practices within MPL.
- QHSE & Vendor Overview: Maintain and continuously improve procurement setup and guidance in MPL’ Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics & transport procurement and project management..
- Strong understanding of global vendor administration and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data visibility tools such as Cargowise (CW)/Power BI.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
