Job Description:
 

As Senior Privacy Counsel, you will work alongside the Privacy Law Group to uphold the company's commitment to privacy and data protection. Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Collaborating with the Data Protection Officer and other team members to manage legal matters related to privacy and data protection.

• Negotiating agreements and resolving disputes concerning privacy and data protection matters.

• Assisting in the management of personal data breaches and major cyber-related incidents, including providing legal opinions and submitting necessary reports.

• Reviewing, negotiating, and incorporating applicable privacy and data protection agreements.

• Instructing the dispute resolution team and ensuring the resolution of cases involving privacy and data protection.

• Assessing, managing, and evaluating security incidents involving personal data.

• Coordinating with affiliates and partners to ensure global compliance with privacy and data protection laws.

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as regulators, industry groups, and privacy advocates.

• Facilitating regular training and awareness sessions for the legal and dispute resolution teams on evolving privacy laws and best practices.

• Performing other duties as assigned by the Data Protection Officer or as naturally falling under the scope of the Privacy Law Group's domain.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the Philippine bar.

• at least 3 years of experience in privacy law or related field.

• Strong understanding of privacy and data protection laws and regulations.

• Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in managing personal data breaches and cyber-related incidents is preferred.

• Knowledge of global privacy laws and best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
