Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Senior Premium Billing Specialist.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: On-site in Virginia Beach

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Overview

The Senior Premium Billing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the premium billing process within a healthcare organization. This role ensures accurate and timely billing for healthcare plans, coordinates premium collection, and addresses any discrepancies or issues related to member premiums. The Senior Premium Billing Specialist will work closely with internal teams, including finance, claims, and customer service, to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Certification/Licensure

  • No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

  • 4 years related experience in: billing, accounts receivables, auditing of others work

  • Highly preferred: Analytical thinking, organized and able to multitask, problem solver, self-sufficient, able to adapt to a changing environment, good communication skills (verbal and written

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$19.47 - $32.45
