Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Regional Product Lifecycle Ownership
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for the assigned portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with market needs.
- Act as the primary expert on the product portfolio, including features, clinical applications, and competitive advantages.
- Influence global product roadmap decisions by translating EIMEA customer needs into actionable insights for R&D and global product teams.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical inquiries related to product configuration, compatibility, and applications.
2. Commercial and Sales Support
- Provide deep product expertise to support sales teams in customer engagements, including high-stakes tenders, demonstrations, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct regional competitive analysis, benchmarking product advantages and developing effective sales enablement materials.
- Develop and refine the value proposition for each product based on real-world clinical applications and economic benefits.
- Strengthen relationships with show sites, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and early adopters, leveraging their insights to refine positioning and drive adoption.
3. Marketing Strategy Execution (Early Buying Journey Focus)
- Lead the development of the regional strategic marketing plan, with a particular emphasis on driving awareness and education in the early buying journey.
- Design and implement technical webinars, workshops, and training programs to increase customer engagement and understanding.
- Develop localized marketing content and sales tools, ensuring alignment with regional needs while adapting global messaging for maximum impact.
- Measure and report ROI on marketing investments, continuously refining strategies for higher efficiency.
4. Training and Internal Expertise Development
- Train internal teams (sales, service, distribution) to enhance their product knowledge and customer-facing effectiveness.
- Develop educational materials and workshops to ensure field teams are equipped with the latest product and competitive intelligence.
5. Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights
- Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of industry trends, clinical adoption patterns, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct regular competitive intelligence updates, particularly around key industry events (e.g., ESTRO, ASTRO).
- Execute Voice-of-Customer (VoC) initiatives and market research to refine regional product strategies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years’ experience of radiotherapy is mandatory.
- 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing is mandatory.
- BS degree (MA, MBA, MS or equivalent desired) in biomedical or related field and minimum 5 years of experience in the healthcare field, ideally with innovative, high cost, high technology products.
- Product management experience required; one or more radiation therapy company experience is a must.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to develop positive business relationships with all functional areas within Accuray as well as the medical community and Accuray customers.
- Effective presentation skills are required; knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.
- Must understand the necessity and value of teamwork; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Customer-focused; must have knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Strong results orientation and ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Fluency in English and at least one additional EIMEA language is a must.
Ideally based in Morges (Switzerland), or at least 3-4 days per week during the first 6 months
Frequent travel in EIMEA region is required.
To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
