Join our growing Victim Services Suite team as a contract Portal Developer! 

We are seeking an experienced Portal Developer with a strong background in frontend and backend web development to join our dynamic team.  The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in modern JavaScript frameworks and .NET development and some experience with Sitefinity CMS.  You will work closely with our dedicated team as well as stakeholders to develop, configure and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web portals for clients using the SylogistGov Victim Services Suite (VSS), a managed solution built on D365 Customer Service, as the backend.

Responsibilities Include 

  • Frontend Development:
    • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible web portals using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, AJAX, Razor, and JavaScript.  Angular experience is a plus.
    • Implement interactive UI components using jQuery, Kendo UI, and Bootstrap 4/5. 
    • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) to enhance usability for all users. 
  • Backend Development:
    • Build and maintain robust APIs using C# and ASP.NET MVC. 
    • Implement object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns for scalable application development. 
    • Integrate third-party APIs (REST, SOAP).  Use of Swagger for documentation is a plus. 
  • Database Management: 
    • Leverage experience and understanding of data/database management (e.g.  SQL Server, JSON/XML) towards developing .NET modules that utilize Dynamics 365 WCF framework services, FetchXml and Microsoft Dataverse. 
  • DevOps and Deployment: 
    • Manage and deploy custom solutions using Visual Studio and/or SFTP to Azure cloud platforms and Sitefinity CMS. 
    • Maintain Version Control using Git.  CI/CD experience and/or management is a plus. 
  • Sitefinity-Specific Development: 
    • Develop and customize Sitefinity CMS solutions, including content types, dynamic modules, templates, and custom widgets. 
    • Implement personalization, multilingual support, and workflow management within Sitefinity. 
    • Optimize Sitefinity performance and execute upgrades and migrations. 
  • Project Collaboration & Support: 
    • Work in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver iterative and collaborative solutions. 
    • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to translate business requirements into technical implementations. 
    • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to deployed applications. 

 What We Look for in You 

Must-Haves: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in frontend and backend web development, including expertise in JavaScript, .NET.  and database management.   
  • Hands-on experience developing and customizing Sitefinity CMS. 
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues efficiently. 
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Must be a U.S.  citizen and able to pass an FBI background check as required by our customers. 

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
  • Microsoft certifications in .NET, Azure, or Sitefinity CMS.
  • Experience in Victim Services, Department of Corrections, or Jail Management Systems.
