The Opportunity
The Senior Platform Operations Analyst manages and supports successful implementation of various payment processing projects/change events through execution of various technical tasks and quality checks. Incumbent will enter information into multiple vendor processing platform applications and internal Velera applications. Provide dual control quality assurance validations. Incumbent will lead client consultation on business and technical requirements, and incorporate these requirements into detailed change requests. Incumbent will also assume leadership role for specified projects, and coordinate all phases of operational implementation of project deliverables.
Day in the Life

Coordinate with client on business and technical requirements related to change requests and projects; define specifications and plan tasks for executing on requests in timely and accurate manner.

Analyze change requests, factoring current parameters to ensure result meets requested objectives; Set and manage client and internal expectations with regard to system functionality, compliance, and timeframes; keep clients apprised of significant operational system changes or issues; Assess change requests related to requirements to assess overall impact, including documentation and approval.

Ensure quality change management; Monitor, control, update and coordinate changes to existing change requests while summarizing and communicating status, producing effective reports, as appropriate; Analyze and interpret reports and queries as part of meeting business objectives.

Identify and report outstanding issues to stakeholders; assist with issue resolution.

Provide technical support to financial institutions during the design, development, and implementation phases of the project/change request.

Provide Post implementation support, onsite if applicable, for projects and/or change events.

Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with internal and external clients.

Identify and implement improvements to defined processes within the department.

Maintain general knowledge of Velera solutions offerings and service applications, including key functions and associated reports; understand which applications/solutions will best support change requests.

Maintain general understanding of CARD Act, Regulation Z, and other key regulations.

Maintain knowledge of the multiple processing platforms system functionality and how it is used to support business requirements for the project/change request

Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned topics related to different aspects of multiple processing platforms and supporting regulations and processes.

Serve as a mentor to team members.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Six (6) years of related experience in the payment processing industry required.

Thorough understanding of payment card products, support services and processes required.

Three (3) years of related experience in business or system analysis required.

Training in Six Sigma Methodology and project management certification preferred.
