Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Business & Team: CST
Impact & contribution:
Reduce the deployment time of model by utilising advance tools and technology. In this role you’ll assist execution of strategic initiatives to improve team effectiveness and performance.
Reporting lines: Reports to Chapter Lead
Roles & Responsibilities:

Undertake solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.
-
Analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities.
-
Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals.
-
Advise on approach to service engineering and solution design, recommending alternative approaches where required.
-
Software development according to program specifications and as directed.
-
Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments.
-
Advanced troubleshooting of environment and deployment issues.
-
Engage with project stakeholders to provide system support.
-
Implement system updates into production in accordance with specific production readiness and change management protocol
Essential Skills:
-
Experience with AWS, particularly CloudFormation.
-
6 - 8 years of practical, hands-on industry experience in a similar role.
-
Experience with building & optimising Docker containers.
-
Experience with enabling CI/CD practices.
-
Experience with CI/CD tooling (Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) or equivalent.

Experience developing Kubernetes application solutions.
-
Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices and principles.
-
Experience automating repetitive tasks using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, etc.
-
Experience decomposing complex problems down into manageable components.
-
Experience reviewing proposed code changes and recommending alterations.
-
Able and willing to participate in hands-on configuration activities.
Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
