Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer – Temporal
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: Cloud Integration
Impact &contribution: The cloud movement at CommBank is going strong and continues to grow. We’re looking for out of the box thinkers who want to use technology to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers.The successful applicant will join a team tasked to manage the Event Streaming Platform for the bank. On-prem and in Cloud. You will be expected to continually improve the services through DevOps model, build the cluster and ensure the platform is running 24*7.Roles & responsibilities:
- Ensure the platform is running24/7 and respond to incidents as needed.
- Design and build all aspects of an enterprise platform, e.g. tooling, CI/CD, Security, Observability.
- Coach other engineers to uplift the engineering quality and velocity.
- Share engineering knowledge through presentation, blogs, videos with the broader engineering community.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and team to create relevant engineering roadmaps.
Essential skills:
- Have min 8 years of experience
- Have experience in Software Engineering/DevSecOps/SRE.
- Highly proficient across foundational AWS services (IAM, Networking, IaC, Storage, Lambda).
- Are passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and possess a keen interest to solve complex problems in a systematic approach.
- Highly proficient working with various scripting/programming languages, such as, Python, Go, Java, Typescript.
- Highly proficient with code repositories and CI/CD tools like: GitHub, GitHub Action, GitLab, Artifactory…
- Confident working with Infrastructure as Code will be highly desirable; Cloudformation, CDK, Terraform, Ansible
- Very good understanding of API development and lifecycle management.
- Experience with Temporal.io as developer or administrator highly desirable.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
