Position Overview:
Echtra Games is searching for a performance-focused engineer to help us craft the future of our studio as we build a new cross-platform Action RPG. As a Senior Performance Engineer, you'll be helping us deliver a beautiful and performant game. You’ll work closely with engineers and artists touching all aspects of the game to build systems and solve problems that let us delight our players with great experiences, whether they’re playing on PC or consoles.
Echtra Games is a medium-sized and growing game studio in San Francisco with a team of veteran game developers and visionary newcomers who work both on-site and remotely. What You'll Do:
- Work closely with Engineering, Tech Art, Level Design, and other teams to improve our existing features.
- Monitor and optimize game performance, both on the GPU and CPU.
- Add new systems that enable us to put more great content into the game.
- Help drive technical and design decisions that lead to a great player experience across multiple platforms.
What You Bring:
- You've previously worked on medium to large games in a performance or graphics focused role
- You're well-versed in CPU and/or GPU profiling tools
- You're proficient in C or C++, preferably using Unreal Engine
Bonus Points:
- Experience with console platforms.
- A love and passion for gaming!
